John Michael Kledis, EA, CVA, CFE provides Enrolled Agent (EA) services. An Enrolled Agent designation is important for three main reasons:

Somewhat similar to CPAs, Enrolled Agents are federally authorized tax practitioners empowered by the U.S. Department of the Treasury to represent taxpayers before the IRS. EA's can also represent you, the client, in any of the 50 states, whereas, CPA's are qualified to do state tax returns from all 50 states, they must remain in the state they are licensed in.

To become an EA requires either 5 years of work for the IRS or passing a 3 part Special Enrollment Exam (SEE) in addition to passing a background check.

CPA and EA designation means you are federally recognized as a tax specialist and is the highest credential awarded by the IRS.
