Common 3rd Party apps that sync with QuickBooks Online

QuickBooks Online was designed to accommodate most company types. When developing a program to meet the needs of the masses, there are usually holes where individual needs are not able to be met. It is for this reason that QuickBooks Online may not always meet the specific needs of each business. That is were the 3rd party apps come in. The apps enable businesses to customize their accounting system and manage their business more effectively.
Here are a few noteworthy apps:
T-Sheets is an employee time tracker. The app can be downloaded to an employee’s cell phone which they can use to clock in and out. Employees can designate what customer they are working on each time they clock in to streamline billing procedures. The app also has GPS location tracking for greater accountability. It also syncs automatically with QuickBooks making it easier to run payroll. T-Sheets is free for 1 user, or $5 per user per month plus a $20 per month base fee. (pro-advisors can offer discounts like they can with QuickBooks).
Stripe and PayPal Sync automatically imports all Stripe and PayPal transactions into QuickBooks. It is free up to 50 transactions per month.
Square Sync automatically imports all your square activity into Quickbooks. Square Sync is free for 1 user.
Inventory by Erplain – Sync Realtime with QuickBooks. Helps you track inventory (even at multiple locations), create sales orders, allows for barcode scanning, drop shipping support. Inventory by Erplain starts at $29 per month for 1 user.
LivePlan – It pulls through all relevant data to quickly build financial forecasts and budgets for you without having to plug through numbers in a spreadsheet. The app will also show you how you compare with competitors using Industry Benchmark data. LivePlan cost $19.95/month or $139.95/year.
Seller to Accounting –For business owners who sell on Amazon and need an easy way to analyze and record their Amazon settlement reports. The basic plan costs $29 per month.
Sadly, there doesn’t seem to be a mileage app that syncs directly with the basic QuickBooks Online versions yet, but you can still use your favorite mileage app like (i.e. Stride, MileIQ, Milelogger) to track your mileage for reimbursements.
